Use the necessary documents for custom clearance

Within 1-2 days after the vessel has left Japan, we will send you documents titled, "Notice for Shipment," and a "Bill of Lading" copy in PDF format, via E-mail.

IMPORTANT: It is very important to carefully check the details are correct on the "Bill of Lading" copy.

The documents are:
  • Customs Invoice
This invoice is used by your local customs department to assess the value of your vehicle.
  • Bill of Lading
It is required at the port of destination in order to receive your vehicle from the port.
  • Other documents
May be required depending on your country's regulations.

*Note: Clearing agents require the original “Bill of Lading” and Invoice. If you wish to have the original documents send to the agent directly, please inform us.
